Earth All Around, One Drop of Sky
Warm honey yellow, a single drop of blue-green, and the clean brightness of silver. This is a bracelet for ordinary days, the kind you put on in the morning without thinking and notice again in the afternoon light.
Most of the circle is small honey-yellow barrel beads, each held apart from the next by a thin silver disc. They are softly translucent, a little cloudy, and no two are quite the same shade. In the reading most often given for the five colors of a Tibetan prayer flag, yellow is earth: low, steady, the ground under everything.
On one side, a short run of hand-hammered silver throws off small flashes of light. On the other, one round bead of turquoise, the stone long linked with the sky on the plateau, sits beside a polished silver ball.
A hammered S-hook and a short chain let it sit close or hang a little loose. Each one is strung by hand, so the turquoise and the silver may fall in different places on yours.

About fourteen honey-yellow barrel beads, 6 mm each, make up most of the bracelet. They are softly translucent with a cloudy glow, their edges not perfectly even, and their color moves from pale cream to deeper gold. A thin rondelle of 925 sterling silver, 4.6 mm, sits between each pair.
The silver beads are hammered by hand, 6 mm across, their surface covered in small bright facets; one ribbed bead sits among them. The single turquoise bead is round, 6.5 mm, blue-green with a fine dark web, paired with a smooth silver ball. Short stacks of silver discs lead to the clasp on both sides.
The bracelet measures about 17.5 cm (6.9 in), with a 3 cm (1.2 in) extender chain and a hammered S-hook. It weighs about 8.5 g. Because each one is strung by hand, the shades of the yellow beads and where the turquoise and silver fall vary from bracelet to bracelet.
