Granulation, the art of decorating metal with tiny beads, reaches back thousands of years to the goldsmiths of the ancient Mediterranean.
The stone at its center has a long story of its own in the Himalaya. In Tibetan, turquoise is called yu; it is worn widely on the plateau, often given as a gift, and traditionally associated with the sky.

A Small Sky, Finely Framed
Look down at your hand and the stone comes first: a small oval of turquoise, about 7 × 5 mm, a clear and even sky blue, domed and polished so it catches the light.
Then the setting draws you in. Around the stone the surface is crowded with tiny raised beads, a texture that recalls granulation, one of the oldest ways of decorating metal. The ring head runs to a point above and below, each tipped with a small fleur-de-lis, and a round pierced disc sits on either side. Everything is darkened in the recesses and left bright on the high points, so the detail stays legible even at this size.
It is detailed enough to be looked at and simple enough to wear every day: with a sweater and a cup of coffee, or a dark dress at night.

Oval Turquoise, Granulated Setting
The stone is an oval turquoise cabochon about 7 × 5 mm, domed and polished, an even sky blue held in a slim bezel. Color varies slightly from ring to ring.
The ring head around it is lozenge-shaped: pointed at the top and bottom, each point finished with a small fleur-de-lis, with a round pierced disc on either side. The space between is filled with fine granulated texture. The finish is darkened in the recesses and polished on the raised points, so every bead and edge reads clearly.
The slim band opens at the back of the finger, which makes the ring adjustable, so one size fits most fingers. To change the fit, press the band in or ease it open gently with your fingers, a little at a time, and avoid bending it back and forth in the same spot.
