Red Stone Cloud-Scroll Stud Earrings
Spiritual Meaning
Red holds a special place in Tibetan adornment. Coral and red agate have long been worn in braided hair, at the throat and at the ear, and the color is traditionally associated with life force and with auspicious beginnings.
The red stone here belongs to that same tradition.
The curling shapes around it are cloud scrolls, one of the most familiar motifs in Tibetan and Chinese ornament. Known in Chinese as xiangyun, auspicious cloud, the scroll stands for good things arriving softly, the way weather comes over a mountain.
Set in a ring, the scrolls open like petals. Flowers are among the classic offerings placed before a Buddhist shrine, a reminder that beauty is brief and worth giving.
Wear them as a small red reminder to stay warm, open and present, one flower at each ear.

A Flower by the Ear
Each one is barely wider than a fingernail: a round red stone the size of a peppercorn, smooth and opaque, the warm red of a temple wall in late afternoon sun. Around it runs a fine border of metal, and past that a ring of tiny cloud scrolls curls outward, one after another, like petals opening or weather rolling over a ridge.
Put them on and they almost disappear, until someone leans in to listen. Then there it is: a small red flower blooming just beside your ear, catching the light each time you turn your head. A bit of warmth for a gray morning, a long dinner, a walk with nowhere to be. Before long you forget you are wearing them, and that is the point.
Red Stone, Cloud-Scroll Filigree
Each earring centers on a round red cabochon, 5 mm across, opaque and polished smooth and held in a bezel. Some stones carry tiny dark flecks, so no two look quite the same.
Around the stone, a fine inner border gives way to a ring of silvery filigree worked into small C-shaped cloud scrolls, a motif long used in Tibetan silverwork. The whole stud is about 11 mm across and weighs about 2.15 g. Sold as one pair.
