For generations Tibetans have worn it at the ear, sometimes as a single small stone, sometimes in long drops.
Its blue is traditionally read as the color of the sky and of water, and in Tibetan tradition turquoise is often given as a gift and passed down within a family.
The circle runs deep in Tibetan Buddhist art as well: it is the outline of the mandala, a picture of wholeness drawn from the center outward.

A Small Round of Sky
Some pieces ask to be noticed. This one asks only to be worn. A dot of turquoise about 5 mm across, domed and polished, set in a wide ring of textured silver; the whole stud measures about 7.7 mm, small enough to forget until a mirror reminds you.
Turquoise has been cherished across Tibet and the Himalaya for centuries and worn at the ear by men and women alike. Here it is a clear, even blue, closer to a lake on a still morning than to a stormy one, and each pair varies a shade from the next.
The silver around it is where the detail lives. A ring of small overlapping scales circles the stone, darkened in the grooves so the pattern reads, with a second textured layer beneath. It turns a very small earring into something worth a closer look.

The recesses are darkened and the raised edges left bright, so the texture shows clearly; beneath the stone, a second layer of the same pattern gives the stud a shallow domed profile from the side.
